What is iFix?
iFix is a fee-based service provided by Hill Country Telephone Cooperative. Our technicians can offer remote diagnostics, in-house repair, or they will come to your home to help you with your computer, Internet, phone, TV, and home theater repair and configuration problems.

Yes.
What are your normal hours?
8 am to 5 pm (24/7 monitoring is available for a fee.)
Can I get iFix service at my location?
iFix is the only service dedicated to the Texas Hill Country—from Kerr and Bandera County to Kendall County, and from Mason County to Gillespie, Kimble, and Real County, and all the counties in between.
Do you repair telephones?
We do not repair phones, but we can set up or personalize your settings on your phone. We do repair landline phone lines in our service area.
Do you repair telephone lines?
Yes, we do repair phone lines. To get your phone line fixed, please ask for phone line repair services when you call.
Can you fix my IPod or IPhone?
We can set up or personalize the settings on your MP3 player or cell phone.
When do I get the service charges?
Customers are charged at the end of the service call, and estimates are provided up front. We charge a flat rate of $29.95 for travel, and $72.50/hour for labor (billed by the half-hour). Any parts needed are charged as well, but we’ll tell you what the cost for these will be up front. If the problem is found to be the fault of our service, you will not be charged for the service call.
Can these charges go on my Hill Country Telephone Cooperative phone bill if I'm already a member?
Yes, we can add all charges to your Member Account. You may then either pay online through our electronic bill service (http://ebill.hctc.net) or through your normal method of paying your telephone bill.
How do I pay if I'm not a Hill Country Telephone Cooperative member? When is payment due?
We accept payment by cash or check, by credit card over the phone (for phone support sessions), or if you bring your electronic equipment to us for repair, you may also pay with a credit card at our offices. Payment is due when services are rendered.
If I need a new part, will iFix advise me on what to get and where I can get it?
Yes, we can either purchase the part for you, or you may do so yourself. iFix is also a Dell Certified Reseller.
Does it matter what software I have on my system?
iFix technicians are trained and knowledgeable in most all operating systems and software. We support Microsoft, Macintosh, and most flavors of Linux.
Will they show me how to use the software they install for me?
Yes, we provide onsite and remote training on any software we install.
How long does a typical service/repair visit last?
Depending on the type of service required, it can range from 15 minutes to hours. Technology is sometimes very quirky and troublesome but be assured that our charges will not be unreasonable.
Will the Internet Help Desk be able to assist me if I need to call them after iFix has been to my house?
Yes, they will be able to help you with basic issues as always. If the problem is more complicated, feel free to contact iFix directly during normal business hours. Often times we are able to assist you remotely and quickly.
